The Footypunt View

Another tough one to weigh up. Collingwood have played 5 consecutive matches against Sydney at Telstra Stadium and have proved extremely competitive on every occasion. They followed up a 1 point loss in 2005 with a good win in 2006 and again were too strong for the Swans in Round 12 this year running out 19 point victors. The Pies put in an improved performance against a spirited Demons outfit last Friday night but for me still look well below their peak mid season form. This week the return of Buckley, Clarke & Goldsack may provide that spark they are looking for and with the business end of the season now upon us it will be interesting to see if they can return to the levels we saw from them a month or two ago. Sydney have promised plenty at times with some good wins over the lower placed sides but for my money just haven't delivered against the better sides and I’m starting to doubt they are going well enough to launch a 3rd consecutive grand final assault. This match could turn out to be a classic arm wrestle and clearly the best bet in my view looks to be Either Side Under 15.5 at around the $3.20 mark.
