The Footypunt View

Fremantle’s late rally to secure a finals spot came to an end last week against St Kilda where they reproduced some of the ordinary form that has punctuated their season. Melbourne have only won one of their past 6 encounters against the Dockers and have suffered some bad losses away from home this season which doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in the Dees chances. In fact with both sides having little to play for this week its hard to feel any real confidence in the outcome of the match full stop. Melbourne have a few players out with injury but no one of any great consequence and if they can produce one of their better performances then Freo may not be the past the post certainties their price would suggest. Hard to have a punt with any great conviction here but perhaps the Dees can be reasonably competitive and cover the line with a 30.5 point head start at $1.96 with Pinnacle.
